CI CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

  • ELIGIBILITY

    • Any undergraduate freshman, sophomore, or junior, enrolled in a civil engineering program with a concentration in construction engineering or construction management, who is a Construction Institute (CI) student member and/or ASCE National
    • Student Member in good standing at the time of application and award.
    • The scholarship may be awarded only to a student who will employ it to continue their formal undergraduate education at a recognized educational institution
    • Preference will be given to students enrolled in programs with an accredited Construction Management program.
  • SELECTION CRITERIA

    • Good academic standing as demonstrated by official university transcripts, three (3) reference letters from faculty or professional internships; a statement of professional goals following graduation; resume highlighting professional, research and leadership accomplishments.
  • THE AWARD

    • One student will be selected to receive a multi-year scholarship payable until and including the year of undergraduate graduation – not to exceed three years. The award committee will determine the amount and the method of distribution of the award based upon the funds available and individual student circumstances. The options for distribution include:
      • Direct payment to the student’s university Financial Aid office to be used to offset tuition expenses
      • Payment to the appropriate university division to fund an ongoing paid internship formally committed to by a faculty member pursuing grant-funded research in an area of construction engineering or construction management.

MillerCoors Engineering and Science Scholarship

  • Eligibility

    • Junior or Senior university classification by the Fall Semester
    • Open to Biochemistry, Computer Science, *Electrical Engineering, and *Mechanical Engineering (*All engineering majors may apply but preference will be given to these engineering majors first)
    • Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
    • Must be of Hispanic descent
    • Must have a 3.0 GPA or above on a 4.0 scale
    • Maintain full-time enrollment status (12 hours) for the duration of the scholarship period
    • Provide two letters of recommendation highlighting leadership potential
    • Scholar must attend Adelante’s Annual Leadership Institute in San Antonio, TX on Oct. 19-21 (Sponsorship to attend is included along with the scholarship)
    • Must attend a Partnering University

American Society of Civil Engineers Scholarship 2014/2015

  • For: Scholarships are available for award to members of American Society of Civil Engineers
    (ASCE) Student Chapters located in the State of New Jersey
  • Amount: $2,000
  • Deadline: April 4, 2014
  • Eligibility: Any third year undergraduate of a four year BSCE program, or any fourth year
    undergraduate of a five year BSCE program who is a member of an ASCE
    Student Chapter may apply for these scholarships
